The book is a diary of one of the drowned as they face a war, thing is the drowned are a very violent race. They know they're at war, but not who they're fighting. So follow the diary of a masochistic, violent drowned zombie called Jake. When Jake's not slaughtering his foes, he's writing his diary or taking therapy.
