Staying in touch after leaving 51 became a challenge. The men of Station 51's original A Shift come together after almost seventeen years--they've gotten married, had children and grandchildren. But even after all this time, they're still a family.

What would happen if the Captains daughter was in an accident, resulting in her vision being permanently lost? How would she feel about the loss of her vision? Would she tell anyone her feelings, or just keep her thoughts to herself? How would her boyfriend, Mike Stoker, feel about his girlfriend keeping her thoughts to herself? Would he be there for her, or would he leave her for a new girl that can see? All these questions will be answered in the story. This is my first Emergency story, I hope you all like it. Plus this is a modern Emergency story.
