Jean-Paul Jean Jaures is a mafia boss living in 18th century Marseille, running a book business as a shopfront to hide his vicious crimes. Peonie de Jardin is, by all intents and purposes, a book nerd. A regular customer at the Amour de Livres bookstore in the 14th arrondissement, she frequently makes purchases, inadvertently supporting the mafia culture in Marseille. Upon discovering her favourite bookstore is actually a lie, Peonie embarks on a mission to turn Jean-Paul and his family from their malicious lifestyle. However, the tension building between her and Jean-Paul threaten to pull them both from their lives as they know them... A departure from our normal writing, this piece offers a deep, philosophical insight into the most important matter in the history of the world - the role of the toilet in our everyday lives.
