ARDEN has nightmares of dying, but instead she wakes up to a different sort of horror-the kind where you don't remember who you are, or where you are. Her fractured memory strangely forces her to relive the missing moments in sequence, gradually revealing that she has paid a terrible price not only to save her life, but to unleash abilities no ordinary human would have. Her choice has led her into the ranks of a secretive and ancient entity, but Darkness stalks her. Something has been taken from her that must be restored; for if she were to lose it, her very soul could be severed into half, to endure an agony where death could only be a welcome end.

Fifteen years after the three-year war between the Union of Free Nations and the Soviet Capitalists, the New World has been under the control of both factions, both co-existing in balance. But now things begin to break down, starting from the competition betwen the two factions, it slowly stirs into war. Fifteen yearsago the only reason why the war ended was because of the infamous 'buffer child'. Now both factions are both dedicated to find and use that child. If she really exists. But the thing is, even she doesn't know about her existence.

Willowborn Book One ***This is a work of fiction. It's not like every tree is a Willow, but it seems like you see one every 100 ft. It's a pretty normal historical small town. 35 families, Founder Homes, a parade every homecoming, holiday, and festival. Town pride is a must, the local "church" is the real authority in town, and the local families can be traced back generations. In such a town barrels in Dani Avelle. At 13 years old she developed something the Willow calls the Gift. Hers was the amazing ability to be randomly assaulted by memories from every person, place or thing she comes in contact with, along with the ability to channel people who were also from one of the towns founding families. 10 years later, with her best friend, her best friends boyfriend, and her little sister she learns that no, it wasn't all in her head, its an actual thing in a real place with people who actually lived, and that if she leaves the "safety" of the town she'll have only a few months to live. Stuck in a super modern but also ancient town, reevaluating positions and relationships, and just trying to be a freshly graduated entrepreneur, its a lot, but when the information the Willow gives out and the information she gets from her Gift don't match, Dani will need to decide just how far she wants to get into the Willow.
