I wrote this myself for school and hope you guys enjoy it. I left it as an open ending so you could all theorize on what happened. I don't think I had any inspiration, but I don't wanna steal anyone's idea. So, if you find anything that might be similar to this, just tell me in the comments. This is my first short story I've written, so please tell me if you have any criticisms. I'll try to post as quickly as I can.

I met a very old and pitiful beggar in the market one Sunday. I also grew close to her in the space of the next two months. But why, then, did she seem so strange?

One day, I woke up with amnesia, unable to remember anything about last night. but I must piece together my identity and find out what happened to me, all while dealing with the fear of the unknown. What am I? Am I a spy who had a brainwash? Did I come from another world? Nah, I can't remember at all. I'm Elizabeth, and let me take you on a small journey.
