It just really sucks. The difference between expectations and reality. I understand and see it now.

We used to have our own nights. We used to have our own world. We used to call each other sweet endearments. We used-to-be. A/N: This is not a story but an open letter. Dear You, You may not know me personally, but I think I'm already familiar to you. An open letter to the leaders of the world about procrastinating saving humanity from the growing threat of climate change

Casey Reynolds knew that one of her students wasn't safe. Mackayla exhibited all the signs of abuse and neglect, despite coming from a well to do family. The school didn't believe Casey, the police didn't believe her, DCFS didn't even believe her. Everyone tells her that she's imaging things, that none of it ever happened. Casey decides to take her case public by writing to the Tribune. Someone out there has to believe her.
