The dream isn't over. It just got a whole lot stranger. After one group of humans lost themselves to the world of Battle for Dream Island, another group is about to discover that the island has more than one story to tell. This time, it's Battle for Dream Island AGAIN. Sixteen brand-new humans are brought into a competition they don't understand. Ten of them are destined to become the newest contestants. The others are destined for something much stranger. Hosts. Nobody knows why they were chosen. Nobody knows why certain people are being watched more closely than others. And nobody knows why the competition seems to already know exactly who they're going to become. At first, everything seems normal. A strange new environment. A strange new competition. A chance to meet new people. Maybe even a chance to win. Then the changes begin. A voice starts sounding different. A personality starts shifting. A body starts becoming something it was never supposed to be. And memories that once seemed impossible to forget begin disappearing. One by one, the ten contestant victims begin becoming: Nickel. Thirty-seven humans receive a mysterious invitation to an island promising them the chance to become part of something extraordinary. But the invitation has a catch. They aren't there to compete as themselves. Each human has already been assigned a destination: a BFB contestant-or, for four special humans, a BFB host. As they uncover the truth behind the island, they discover that their personalities, identities, bodies, voices, and appearances are all being prepared for a permanent transformation. And the changes have already begun. The humans aren't simply going to look like the characters they're assigned to become. They're going to become them. Every human has a personality opposite to their assigned BFB character, making the transformations even more unsettling as their original traits begin to clash with the identities waiting to take over. Among the group are Emma and Wendy, two enemies who have been assigned to become Four and X-both genderless hosts who use he/they pronouns. Neither girl has any idea that their rivalry will follow them into their new identities. There is no BFDI cast. There is no BFDIA cast. There is only BFB. And once the transformation is complete, there is no going back. The dream isn't something they'll achieve. It's something they'll become. BECOME the dream.
