I was completely against the hazardous activity occurring all around me. I was glancing around at all the different things needing to be done to meet our goal. I was just standing there in the attempt to "offer" my assistance. I was strictly, enforced to stay away from anything critical to the operation. I wasn't even allowed to know what the end game was. What were we trying to accomplish. All I knew is that it would end in total demolition of the area.

Lullaby is a deeply reflective piece that uses an everyday scene as an entry point into one of the most transcendent themes of the Christian faith: the resurrection and the hope of the final encounter with Christ. With warm and accessible prose, the author turns a familiar experience into a powerful metaphor for the sleep of death, comparing the child's unconscious transition rest with the mystery of passing from this life into eternity. The reflection intertwines with precise biblical exposition, including passages from 1 Corinthians 15, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, and Revelation 19, to clearly explain what the resurrection and the glorious transformation promised to believers will be like. The narrative moves from the intimate to the eschatological-from a child's bedroom to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, from peaceful sleep to the thunder of the divine trumpet. The text describes the prophetic stages-the resurrection of the dead in Christ, the transformation of the living, the catching away, the great heavenly wedding, the Tribulation, and the Millennial Kingdom-always maintaining a pastoral tone aimed at comforting, encouraging, and stirring faith. As a whole, Lullaby combines biblical teaching, pastoral imagination, and a profound sense of hope. Reading it not only leads to a better understanding of the Christian doctrine of the resurrection, but also invites the reader to contemplate the eternal future with serenity. It is a piece that comforts, instructs, and leaves echoing a question that gently confronts the reader: "Are you going to miss it?"

Ryacell's world collapses when he encounters an unknown beast in church. The insomniac, orphaned newsboy, Ryacell, lives off of his saved francs at the wake of the new decade, the "Années Folles," until he gets an unexpected visit from his diehard crush - the elegant, beautiful, and rich girl, Saphire Creliz. Through Saphire, he meets the tomboyish orphan, Rashelle Naverias. As he learns more about his new acquaintances, he crosses a point of no return. Updated every Friday (or every other Friday)! Dear fellow reader, I'd just like to preface you with a couple of things. Firstly, I don't consider myself a writer. I am probably a beginner at most, haha, so I apologize for any blips you may come across. Secondly, although this story does have a slow "prologue" (I would call), there will be some graphic scenes along the way, and I will put a warning if a chapter does contain any gory bits. Lastly, please no spoilers to new readers, but you all should know that. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Like dark fantasy? Mystery? Plot twists? Romance? Comedy? Action? All of the above? Well, I hope this story provides you with some type of enjoyment. Thank you! -RREN
