In the climactic aftermath of "Beast Hunters: Predacons' Rising", Optimus Prime lays down his spark to restore Cybertron's core. As the world's energy matrix reignites and the Autobot legacy reaches its zenith, a new generation must rise to guard the dawn of peace. With Optimus Prime gone, the Autobots look now to Ultra Magnus-the only viable alternative to serve as his replacement. Under the watchful guidance of Ultra Magnus, Smokescreen hones his trademark smoke-decoy tactics, energy-rifle marksmanship, and rapid-strike maneuvers.

Cybertron has been revived, but Predaking enjoys the planet he knew as Earth as well. There were far more creatures than he could count, and most were as connected to nature as him. Instinct ruled them, though this beast was far more civilized and capable of advanced leadership, just not by himself. The Autobot and Decepticon adventures were through- but now is the time for the Predacon's story to rise. (I only own my OCs and the storyline, all other characters belong to Hasbro. I will inform if any fanart is my own. Reader is a femme but feel free to enjoy the story itself! Simply use the name Dewclaw, the true name of my OC. It has been adapted to be a reader insert.)

A/N: After Predacons Rising, but RID doesn't happen. Gender neutral pronouns!!! If Optimus Prime was still alive, he would be appalled. The war was for nothing. People should've taken it as a lesson, but no, Cybertron went and repeated some of its past mistakes. Some mistakes were new and worse. The council was corrupt, maybe more so than the old one. Instead of gladiators being forced to fight to the death and buy their freedom, there were simply slaves. They weren't entirely legal, but your own government was more than willing to look the other way. You escaped the system. You had a family. You made a life yourself. As a result of leaving, you got that life taken away. Nowadays, you help others escape the system and make sure they don't face the same consequences. When Megatron returns from his self-exile, he finds himself facing the same system he sought to destroy so long ago. He also finds himself connecting to you, the leader of a new uprising. You, all he could've been if he hadn't fed his ambition.

Now that the war is over between Megatron and Optimus, the Autobots and Decepticons have joined forces to defeat the new evil, led by Airachnid, a spider cybertronian. She led an army of bug-like creatures called insecticons. Airachnid called her army Swarm. There was nothing special about the name Swarm, it was just the only thing Airachnid could think of. Now, there is the other side of the war. Optimus and Megatron both stepped down from leadership, and a new femme was picked to lead the combined Bots and Cons. Her name was AuraStorm. She picked Arcee to be her SIC, while Nebula was her TIC. She called her army, Hope because she believed that in order to win, they must have hope. Autobots and Decepticons alike are flocking back home, ready to rebuild their restored planet. Optimus' dreams of redemption for all beings is finally coming true. With the war finally over, Ratchet and Optimus finally get to live their fantasy of having a family. Optimus didn't anticipate the target that would be put over Ratchet's head once he became sparked. A small band of Decepticons aren't satisfied with the way things played out. Seeking revenge and compensation, they take the sparked medic hostage, and the race begins. Optimus must juggle his Primely duties and searching for his medic while complying to the outrageous demands. His desperation is what leads him to Megatron.
