I wanted to write this story about my best friend from her point of view. She's always been there for me and vice-versea. To me she is a sister. I also got to thinking about how having a child with autism is known at times to put a strain on marriages. Gaara also shares certain traits with those on the spectrum, so things ended up clicking together. Doraemon is also a popular children's Anime over in Japan, plus a childhood favorite for the creator of Naruto.
