Due to increasing worldwide conflict over limited resources, it has become essential to hold power and influence in this world to survive. Creatures with part human and part animal features are being manufactured by a dark force as weapons and spies so that this power may be extended. These creatures are forced to complete commands against their will, are treated as objects and they are identified by serial codes instead of names. But this is not the only immoral practice, these creatures are created by cloning DNA from hosts, some of which are still alive. When Usashika, Project: R-06, discovers that he and his friends are to be sold as pets, he springs into action, devising a way to escape the research laboratory they are trapped in. Many of his friends decide to aid his quest to escape but some doubt his judgment and do not believe what he has discovered. But this all changes when they meet the unusual girl, Marin, who has amazing powers that allow her to enter the minds of others. Soon they discover that there are many other projects like themselves in many laboratories and unless they put a stop to the operation of the laboratories, more will suffer. But escaping proves to be easier said than done.
