Di tengah hutan yang lebat terdapat sebuah gubuk terpencil tempat tinggal seorang kakek tua yang hidup sebatang kara. Kakek tua tersebut menjalani kehidupannya dengan berburu binatang dan mengumpulkan ranting-ranting di sekitar rumahnya. Suatu hari, dengan semangat yang membara, kakek tersebut melanjutkan rutinitasnya, berburu binatang dan mengumpulkan ranting. Dalam perjalanan tersebut, kakek membawa panah yang dibuatnya sendiri, siap untuk memburu seekor rusa yang menjadi sasarannya.
