HEAVILY inspired by the Korean TV series "Evilive". Garam is Seo Doyoung. A young American woman living in a goshiwon in South Korea, hesitates to accept a high-paying, yet seemingly formidable job opportunity. Having only recently gotten fired from one of Itaewon's biggest international reporting journals, she lost everything but her old beat up car. Falsely accused of embezzling the company's funds, she failed to find work anywhere else except for freelance ghostwriting. With the threat of moving back to Louisville, Kentucky looming over her head and her empty wallet, she sourced her clients through online Naver job-listings and managed to make a tainted, but significant name for herself. Things weren't going great, but well enough to give her hope for the future, when a potential client emailed her: "I am in need of your services and will pay well above your normal rate. I am under house arrest at the moment and cannot go out in public to meet. I hope you understand. Please see the address of my home below. Looking forward to hearing back from you." This story is heavily inspired by the Korean TV series EVILIVE. I was literally going to write a fanfic but I just got too off script so here we are. Also, I apologize that our main character is yer average white woman. I always try to write from a perspective I can understand HA. If I was cooler and more original she would 100% be Filipino, which I think that would add so much depth to this story.
