In the 1940s, the Louis family is in New Orleans, Louisiana. Focusing on their life and what they go through while reading from each point of view. Looking at their culture, their traditions, and their love for one another you'd be heart warmed. They travel to the east to find Peacocks and head for the first time.

There are loads of stories about powerful vampires falling in love for weak human girls and then converting to 'vegetarianism' so they can be together, but what if the girl the vampire fell for wasn't weak, wasn't completely human and had tried to kill him. Twice.
