Looking for some place to preform, Trixie Lulamoom stumbles upon a village in the middle of nowhere. But nothing seems right there. The only thing that has kept her from leaving is Starlight Glimmer. Starlight's the only one who has ever made Trixie feel welcomed anywhere. And Trixie's the only one Starlight has felt anything for in a long time. Starlight will make sure that in the end she will get both Trixie and the world. No matter what.

A new friendship mission is assigned to Twilight by the Cutie Map. Everything seems normal until she finally arrives at her destination. What will she do when she finally discovers that her assigned mission is to reform one of her oldest and most dangerous enemies: King Sombra? Will she be able to follow through with the mission once a sinister and seemingly powerful evil is unleashed in Equestria and somehow becomes linked to the king? Will she be able to open her mind to the possibility that the history of her kingdom and empire isn't as true and friendly as it's collectively believed, or will she prefer to stick to what she already thinks she knows?
