I slowly walked down the stairs,shaking. Now I know why he wouldn't let me into that closet. My grip tightened on my backpack strap as I reached the last step. I have to play it off. He can't know that I went into that closet. I wonder if his parents know. I walked into the dining room where Jack was helping set the table. He turned around as I entered and I forced a smile. "Change of pla-plans" I stuttered. His eyebrows knit together. "Bob wa-was released from the ho-hospital." I again stuttered. "Is something wrong? You're stuttering" he rubbed my arms as he spoke. "Oh um-" I gulped "n-no,I'm ju-just worried for my gra-grandfather" I lied. He nodded. "Ok I'll see you tomorrow then" I nodded at his words as I quickly made my way to the door,and exiting. There was a loud banging sound,but I didn't stay long enough to find out what it was. (I know,I know,I SUCK at descriptions but the book will be better I swear!)
