Valerie Brewer has always hidden her emotions. She has always displayed herself as a strong young woman. But she knows that she can't keep up the act forever. Over her summer break, Valerie reunited with an old friend, Finn Adams. As Valerie and Finn catch up, she realizes Finn brings out an emotional side of her that she shamefully enjoys. When the summer is over, Valerie must decide between this new side of herself with Finn and the person she was before.
