This is a flash narrative I did for my English 1010 class. This is a true (slightly embellished) story about a camping trip on the coast of Washington.

A powerful Demigod and his apprentice are separated on the most dangerous night of the year. While the apprentice must fight bloodthirsty beasts and mobs of people wanting her master dead, the Demigod is safe behind the walls of his fortress and burdened by the guilt of condemning his apprentice to a seemingly inevitable death. Will either of them survive by sunrise? A short story from a half-thought up idea for a novel.
