Astrid has spent most of her life in solitude due to her shy nature. She couldn't even imagine confessing her feelings to her crush. She first laid eyes on Griffin on the first day of fifth grade and they had every class together for the next three years. Of course he never even knew her name. After 8th grade, he moved schools and she never even heard from him again. Now it's the first day of senior year and Astrid couldn't believe who the new student was. Her life begins to unravel even more when the opportunity for a study abroad program is being hosted by her school.

The summer between senior year of high school and the freshman year of college is the one time when most people have nothing to worry about. Sara's summer includes a one week solo trip to London and many surprises, both pleasant and unpleasant, that await her there. Everything goes wrong and right at the same time, and she has till the end of the week to figure it all out.
