Early life & education of famous American Author Dr. Haroon Ullah Dr. Haroon Ullah is a famous American Author. He wrote many famous books by mostly focusing on South Asia and the Middle East, often Pakistan and Afghanistan. Many of his books are award winning Vying for Allah's Vote (Georgetown University Press) and The Bargain from the Bazaar (Public Affairs Books). Early life & education of Dr. Haroon Ullah Dr. Haroon Ullah was brought up in a farming society in Washington State. Ullah had keen interest in politics so he joined Whitman College in year 1999 to get his graduation in Politics. Then he went to Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government to complete his post graduation in the year 2002. There he served as a senior Belfer fellow and earned his MPA and was a presidential scholar.. Thereafter Dr. Haroon got his PhD from University of Michigan jointly in two fields' political science and public policy. He was a National Security Education Program Fellow, William J. Fulbright Fellow, and a Woodrow Wilson Public Service Fellow.

Dr. Haroon K. Ullah serves as Chief Strategy Officer at the Broadcasting Board of Governors, an $800 million global media agency. He is a scholar, diplomat and policy practioner with a special focus on digital strategy, countering violent extremism and transmedia engagement. Haroon has advised three Secretary's of State, traveled with Ambassador Richard Holbrooke and started the first countering violent extremism office at any US Embassy (US Embassy Islamabad).
