The sequel of Moonlovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo Go Ha Jin (modern day Hae Soo)'s sister Go Eun Ji finds herself being dragged away into the historical era of Goreyo. There she meets Wang So and learns things about her sister she never knew. She befriends Hae Soo's daughter and romance stirs up between her and the princes. Also, Wang So insists that he meets Hae Soo and Eun Ji finds herself unable to make it happen.

Wang So found out too late that Hae Soo had loved him deeply and waited for him until her last breath and that their daughter was growing up in Chungju with his brother, Jung. What happens next? Does So get to spend time with his daughter? Will Jung be able to keep his promise to Hae Soo to protect her daughter and keep her away from the palace?
