She had accepted the fact that she was never coming back to the real world. They all had. But then when the newest arrival to the split river high afterlife, Madison Nears, came to the school, Zaria and her friends came together to help Maddie solve the mystery of her death. Although, what Maddie and the rest of the group didn't know was that Simon, Maddie's life-long best friend, can see her as a ghost, causing confusion among the bunch. However Zaria has her own ghostbuster as a new student, who has an aspiring dream of becoming a swimmer, can suddenly see and talk to her despite them having no connection apart from academic goals. Friends fight, enemies make up, groups solve murders, unexpected confessions come out. Will this be the year Zaria has a chance at love after almost 30 years without it?
