"Come on think!" You commanded yourself as a loud thump sounded from the other side of the door. The building you lived in was old and had a fire escape, but the landlord had taken off the ladder for unknown reasons a few months back. You had no other option so you quickly opened your bedroom window and unlatched the bars on it allowing you just enough room to squeeze through.

Fifty-three years ago, an asteroid fell to earth, destroying several countries. A strange chemical from this asteroid seeped into the corpses and turned them into...well, zombies. Anyone bitten by one of the zombies turns like them. Except for those with the immunity. An accidental genetic passed on through generations after a factory where a chemical that was supposed to create immortality was blew up.
