"Stillborn" tells the chilling story of the eponymous Pontianak - a Malaysian vampiress. Synopsis: When burgeoning oddities collector Aaron brings home his latest acquisition -- a mysterious, macabre, totem. He gets much more than he bargained for. The piece is soon revealed to harbour something dark, malevolent, and ancient. Something that has plans for Aaron and his friends, and will use tonight's friendly gathering, as a means of satiating its voracious appetite for blood. Excerpts from the novella: "The creature screamed and fell to the ground. It started fighting the pain, crawling on the floor, but Karima's sadness did not consume her and patiently she took the long knife and stabbed the beast's back multiple times until rivers of blood started to flow and filled the floor with red dirt. The creature groaned a few times, but after several seconds of agony, it was inexplicably going limp and disappeared like it never truly existed." "The bathroom walls were a crimson mess, and Ady's dead body was sprawled out on the floor. The creature kneeled down next to him, feeding. It was a horrific sight, to see this monster with its teeth sinking tireless into a man's breathless body. Ady's eyes were removed from his orbits, and his mouth was still open, from his attempt to scream. Hungry growls filled up the bathroom, while Ady's interior was brutally devoured. On the face of the creature was contemptuous pleasure, without any mercy towards the pale and disfigured human being in front of it. It was atrociously heinous."

Beware of Balete Drive is a supernatural - paranormal short story about The White Lady of Balete Drive by Dr Elmi Zulkarnain Osman. Excerpts from the short story: "We didn't like the idea of tying Taufiq to the bed, but Tay Nacio said it as the only way to make sure he would not harm himself ... or us if ever. Tay Nacio then lit some dried grass in a bowl on fire. The smell was putrid, but he said it was to cleanse the air around us. He then started chanting over Taufiq's restrained body. As the chanting went on, Hady and I noticed the smoke in the air was now forming a shape. It slowly gathered in a corner and I don't know if I was probably seeing things, but the smoke started to take the shape of a woman with long hair." "With a firm tone, Tay Nacio then said, "Leave this boy and pardon him! Accept this as his token of repentance" He held out a tray of assorted small fruits. The screaming slowly faded and the room stopped shaking. Taufiq slowly exhaled and then something began to move in his mouth. Taufiq spat something small and black out of his mouth. We looked at it. It was a dead black chick. Carlito quickly scooped it up and set it on fire."

Trunyan Cemetery is a paranormal - supernatural short story about the Skull Island in Bali by Dr Elmi Zulkarnain Osman. Excerpts from the short story: "The tree was supposed to overpower the rotting smell but somehow from afar, the smell of death and whiffs of formaldehyde seemed to fill the air. The Taru Menyan was a towering, tangled, mossy tree that looked like an ancient banyan dominated the open-air cemetery. "There are actually two cemeteries in Trunyan. This one reserved for those whose life's journey counts as complete," Irman explained. "The cemetery was filled with litter and grime. A human thighbone was found to be casually discarded beside an ancient flip-flop amid a clutter of empty dishes. This place where the Bali Aga left their dead to rot certainly had a strange serenity. Bizarrely, there was no more smell of death. The corpses, shielded by bright umbrellas and dressed in their favourite clothes, felt at peace. And the gaze of the skulls in the ossuary seemed calm, their journey over and spirits flown."
