5 kids just entering their teens and now bestow them with powers that will help them protect and save the universe from evil.
Ar'Mer, Jacob, Tara, Katherine and Hay Ly, have just been chosen to be the new "Guardians of the Veil". A group of magical warriors who job is to protect the wall separating good and evil since 5000 years earlier. W.I.T.C.H. is the exciting story of dimension hoping, demon slaying, and friendship. Not only has it fantasied parts but its realism as well. It has managed to unite epic adventure, comedy, magic, and realism, through the adventures of five young teens designated to maintain the natural order of the universe... at the same time as they cope with the daily trials and tribulations of teenage life.
Jacob, holds power over Water, Tara, holds power over Fire, Katherine, holds power over Earth, Hay, holds power over Air and Ar'Mer holds power over Energy.
The five man band can now summon and use these Elements as they see fit.
Ar'Mer also has the role in the group as the Keeper of the Watch of Alterstar and the group leader the awesome catalyst who draws together all the group's energy to set off their transformation... into Guardians.
Together the five teens discover their mission is to protect the universe from evil and along the way "discover the magic and power of friendship".
W.I.T.C.H. is an acronym for the Guardian's nicknames.
