Dennis is a boy who doesn't really care to much about anyone.
He's physically and mentally abused and self harms.
When Dennis meets the new boy Ulysses he wasn't expecting a yandere. How does he know that we'll he's an anime fan and would love to have a yandere lover.
Why? Simple they wouldn't ever leave you no matter what that's what he needed. Someone who wouldn't leave.
Ulysses wanting nothing more then Dennis and to protect him from the filth called humans he'd do anything.
What he wasn't expecting was him to actually except him.
I mean most would be terrified of a yandere. Nope not his Dennis and that made him excited.
