one day I was getting ready for school and I remember that I have a big concert to go to and I'm going to have to sing in front of millions of people  I got really nervous it was 5:20 when I got in the car I started to get really scared I said I'm really lucky I only  that I
go on stage one time when I got to the school I started to say that I can not do this lets go back home my friend said to me go you can do it  then I went in to the school and went to go Sit  down with my class and they said you seem really nervous   I did not say nothing back all I did was sit back and watch the kids sing there song next thing you know times UP it is your turn to go up now I told them I can not do this I just can't  she almost ran out the door but then she said wait I'm going to do
 this I can do it there is nothing to be afraid of she went on stage  started to sing when she was done all her friends said you see there was nothing to worry about  by  7:00  the concert was over I went home and I  told a whole bunch of people to come see me sing and when they 
got to my house I told them to stand in a circle when I  got ready to sing I froze and did not say anything

I closed my eyes when I heard his cold voice, the voice that everyone was afraid of, the voice that tormented me every day². She could feel the sweat on her forehead and palm but I remained bent because one of his laws is not to look at his face or eyes. "Haha.. don't be too afraid of us, Mira, we won't eat.." The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world. They don't realize what it's like not to be able to look at the stars and see the beauty in the sky. I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself. My own silence is deafening. *Pardon my word choice.* I've never been able to speak, as soon as I was able I was sent to learn ASL (American Sign Language). I was then sent to regular public school and I love it, the sounds of the students talking. Being able to be a regular person, well, as close to regular as I can be without talking. My name is Rosalyn, I've never breathed a word. Silence is easy when all you can give are ASL signs and not many people understand them. I'm just like everyone else. I have a celebrity crush. I have a favorite book (It's Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen). I have a favorite color (It's a silvery blue). I have a story to tell just like you. I get made fun of because I can't speak. I answered He huffed and walked out the room. I smiled at his anger. Seeing the director get angry was always so funny. Yet he always gives me the lead roll.
