Kira had always hated the ocean, it was big and cold, and full of evil creatures. So how had she ended up like this?

Kira Williams had it all, her and her boyfriend had been accepted into NYU, her best friend would be nearby, and senior year was finally coming to an end. But on the night of her 18th birthday, when she decides to face her fear of the ocean at a bonfire, she drowns.

So you can imagine her surprise when she finds herself at the bottom of the ocean, surrounded by mermaids.
