Chain Reaction

Smoke rises from valleys and bridges. Plains and rivers are scorched beyond recognition. Cities stand half crumbling, shells of their former glory. Electricity is cut off, and cell towers have toppled. The living who remain are few and far between, too small in number to even form semblances of survival colonies. Candice Harper is trapped at the very top of a high rise building with two extremely small children, where she had been babysitting before the bombs went off. When a supposed member of the mafia shows up to save them, she doesn't know whether to place their lives in his hands. She knows the babies can't live on gummy bears forever. Starve to death, or face a possibility of murder are the two options. However, as the city's subway systems and abandoned buildings slowly fill with deadly forces, sides must be taken.
