The year is 1935. 18 year old Alexei Golovin had recently found a job in the factories. He was finally able to support his family, whom barely earned enough from their convenience store. He was never once suspected by the NKVD or Stalin's men. He thought his life would work out well for him. Instead finds himself in the hands of the Leningrad Mafia ran by Pakhan Lantsov, his life and his family held hostage unless he agrees to submit to them. No matter what his choice is he will be a dead man: if he agrees Stalin's men could track him down and make him "disappear", if he refuses he will be shot on the spot with no guarantee of his family's survival. When presented with his choice, will he risk his life or the ones of those he loves?
