To See The Other Side

There are 8 kingdoms on Earth. They all struggle to get along, despite the fact that they all have one enemy in common; the venthla. The venthla are hungry creatures of the day that feed on human flesh and cattle.

The wars between the 8 kingdoms don't stop until the first and most ancient one falls, it's people all slain and the king gone mad with grief. As the king is dragged away to the victor, he seals his ruined kingdom.

The conquered king now lives as a commoner and spends time with the mortal humans, learning to get alongside them, thus learning about them too.
