The world has changed. Some say for the better. We find our mates through necklaces. When born, the child is given a necklace with a unique shape and that child must keep that necklace until they die, or find their "Mate".  I personally dislike the idea. Why can't I find my own soulmate? Why does he/she have to be chosen for me? Anyways, I'm 17 and turning 18 very soon. Coming to the age were most people find their soulmates. I don't really want to find mine. What if I dislike him/her? Whatever the case, I'm going to put it off for a long time.
