Derek Strong has had a rough life. Abandon as an infant, losing his adopted father at age ten and getting discriminated by almost everyone because he's a faunus. However his life takes a turn for the better when he saves a young girl named Weiss Schnee. But what will happen when Derek disappears one night only to reappear at Beacon causing the Ice Queen to feel warm inside every time she's near him. Will they become closer or will Derek push her away out of fear of what he is?
