"Deacon Ash"

Seth is the consummate alcoholic, a slave to his vice, and his family's constant plea for him to kick the habit has fallen on deaf ears. He escapes to his inherited Victorian in the dead town of Blackwood, Mississippi on a three day hiatus to escape the madness and indulge to his heart's content. Not long after he has settled in, a decrepit church deacon accompanied by a sickly red-eyed Great Dane appear at Seth's doorstep in the midst of a violent thunderstorm seeking shelter. He unwittingly allows the duo refuge and is imprisoned. Enshrouded in a cold blanket of darkness, his guests reveal their true nature; a malevolent demon and a rampaging hellhound. Somewhere inside the Victorian rests the key to Seth's freedom and he must find it within three days if he is to see his family again. Seth's constant drunkenness laced with the maniacal games played by the demon and his hellhound increase the likelihood that he never will. His three day hiatus has become a countdown in a tormenting battle for his life...and his soul.
