When a young postulate, Rose, arrives at New Orleans' oldest convent, reality and illusion converge to unearth centuries-old secrets. Run by the formidable Mother Bernadette, this historic building in the heart of the French Quarter is currently operated as a museum, but not all of its collections are on view. When a school tour leads to some disturbing questions, Rose, fellow postulate Louise, and the brash young teacher Baptiste embark on individual journeys to uncover the truth, which will leave even the most faithful in a fight for their salvation.
