Life, life is no more. There is only persistence. The light has suffocated in the hearts of survivors, entering a deep slumber until the chaos passes, quivering and slowly faltering. The righteous are dead, and the meek have truly inherited the earth. 
    
    Civilization may have ended, but the sun will still rise and set. 
    Thomas was not prepared, no one was. Somehow, though, he survived. He found others and lived alongside them, but how long can good things last?
