Max is different. She's been bullied since freshman year, and hopes that transferring to a different school will eradicate the problem. She soon finds that it's only going to make it worse.
She's assigned detention after just one week. But detention's not what she expected. It's where she meets some of her closest friends. It's also where she meets Makaile, the boy with dark hair and eyes like ice. The boy who might be able to save her from herself... If he can just get her to let him in.
