War can only be paid in blood. And none no this truth more absolutely than that of the Ebony Nation. Centuries of war has left this society in tatters, their near extinction going as far as to seek the aid of their already weakened allies and share space with what is now the Cerulean Archipelago, a chain of frozen, volcanic islands out of the Crimson Clan's - and Prince's - clutches. 
    
    But while most choose to forgive, forget, and surrender...Nyota, the Princess of the Ebony Nation, scorched by the flames, destruction, and atrocities of the past, has chosen to remember and seek revenge - continues to fight on the warfront, unable to accept defeat and her enemies laughing on victory hill. 
    
    Nyota and her aunt are the only ones left of the Ebony Dragon, a beast once so feared and reknown that not even the red vipers of the West would dare tread in its territory. But with its death nearly three hundred years ago, and the vessels it had tied itself to dwindling to a mere duo, there isn't room for error. Next to victory, preserving themselves and keeping the dangerous power they harbor a secret is priority. 
    
    ...But all is about to change when Nyota's blood-sister and closest ally, Princess Clove of the Azure Clan, is given an impossible choice. 
    
    And an impossible choice that Nyota takes without question.
