This is a different sub series to the Chronicals of Myth, based in a different time period and a different dimension than 'Into the Shadows'. It also surrounds a different Mythical. This is the White Warrior sub series, and you do not need to read any specific book prior to reading this.

Humans think they understand their world. They believe the myths and legends of their world, to be nothing more than stories, created for the enjoyment of their young. They discredit the stories of magic, and higher powers. They trust that science is the truth, and that everything can be explained by it. They think that a world without magic, a land of logic, is better than a world filled with real whimsical dreams and beautiful stories. Without adventure, power, might. They think that true heroes are those who have never walked the road of pain, of magic, and of betrayal.
But what happens when the arrival of an ancient enemy awakens something more powerful, more ancient? Elder than dinosaurs, elder than the Earth? The very creature whose existence sparked a surging wildfire of life across the universe. An ancient warrior rises again, as the enemy nears.
How will the world deal with it, when their legends return to life? When it is revealed that every story is true? When everything they think they know, fails them? After all, how do you fight magic with technology? It helps when you uncover the myth of your legends.

Torin has always felt out of place in his small village. Despite the familiarity of his surroundings, he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong. He longs for a place where he can truly be himself, away from the expectations of his people, a life free of the stifling weight of conformity. His dreams are filled with a sense of belonging, a vision of a life where he is accepted for who he is, not for who others expect him to be. The Aeon of Dragons: A Tale of Epic Fantasy & Sci-fi

First Light of a New Age
In a distant realm where magic thrives, ferocious beasts shake mountains and rivers with their mighty roars, and individuals wield superhuman strength capable of reshaping their surroundings. How will they survive against deadly monsters, superhumans, titanic creatures, gods, and eldritch forces that could threaten entire nations? And how will the other powers that exist in this world react to a powerful, advanced nation filled with a race they deem inferior? This is the story of one of the most powerful empires on Earth, and how it broke the balance of power and rose to the top.

Everyone has heard of the story. After the Knights betrayed the system, were executed for their crimes, and were forgotten to time, evil began to rise one more, even in the absence of the Divilamu. People he trusted neglected their duty to protect. Jack makes a twisted journey of revenge, making a few acquaintances along the way, he will take them down, by whatever means necessary. He knows deep down he will not survive, but he just wants to give them a scar, so they never forget him. How would you feel? If you were nothing? If gods from another dimension roamed, and did whatever they pleased. The old gods are nowhere to be found? The only gods are the ones that you see everyday? A man in his late 30s, working in a multinational company, had just released several classified documents that resulted in him losing his job but also brought the company down as well. Being a highly regarded person, Hart was the lead economist and trade master for the company, but he found out his work had destroyed the lives of many after the corporation decided to go behind his back and alter several deals, causing a number of third-world countries to face terrible repression. His decision would place a bullet in the head but also spark a new journey, one filled with magic and fantasy in a different world. Greeted by a messenger of god, Hart was given one chance to redeem himself for his past mistakes. Rebirth, the end goal of many living beings, yet unknown by all who seek it. The messenger offers him a place in Baetyl, a world of gods, where both fantasy and reality clash together here. The gods have clashed with one another, creating chaos and disorder at every edge of the holy planet. Hart is to help bring balance to the declining world, somehow. Given an opportunity to bring ONE thing with him from his old world, and after serious consideration, he decided to take a video game. Not an ordinary video game, a country-building game, essentially setting life to an entire nation whose technological level exceeds the land around it. Revelation 6:4 "Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword." Proverbs 21:15 "It is a joy to the just to do judgment, but destruction shall come to the workers of iniquity" The Horseman of War and Justice received a message from the Goddess/Death to go to a fantasy world that is parallel to Earth, with WW2 and Cold War era technology. His task is not only to bring order to a chaotic and destructive world, but also to guide her children to defy their Fates. Tasked with a questionable and difficult job, he and his army must go through many obstacles, like dealing with other civilisations that see him as a threat, fighting armies that use magic and powerful weapons, and even gods residing in the world. But despite all this, he will get help from unusual yet amazing people. He might even call them his... family.

Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others).
