There is nothing better in this life than being able to enjoy all the beauty that nature offers us, although on many occasions, being able to access a certain area requires a lot of work and effort. The clearest example is with the estanilles cabin, a mountain retreat located in a unique corner within the Upper Pyrenees National Park. Its appearance may seem simple to us, but behind it, there is a long history until this project is realized.

This house built on the mountain, is the culmination of a project that seeks coexistence between the brown bear of the Pyrenees and the inhabitants of the local populations. The idea is that this shelter will serve as accommodation for one or more shepherds who take care of the flocks of the sheep of various owners during the four months that last the summer. The idea is that these shepherds can protect animals from possible attacks by bears, while providing them with accommodation with a high degree of comfort.

Construction with certain bioclimatic criteria
This construction consists of a wooden hut divided into modules and having an area of 25 square meters. The truth is that it is not a large country house, but inside, the shepherds who will inhabit it, will find everything they need for their day to day.
