Children of the Beloved

In a universe that is controlled by the power of music, magic, and science, there is a world that has closed itself off from the rest of the cosmos. This world was founded by a god-like human and her occult following, all based upon the idea that magic is what leads to corruption; just as it did in the founder's original world. To the residents of Esmeralda, life is perfect- at least to the naked eye. Suddenly, a series of riots spring up around the city, spreading chaos and nonsense to everyone in range. From sparking up revolutions in a dystopian society to bringing ideals from the past into play, people are tested on their loyalty, decision making, and friendships. Children of the Beloved follows Declan Finch, Nova Vos, Sarai Pruitt, Isla Astor, and Nash Fluor, five teenagers that are prophesied to save their small world as they know it. Except, what is there to save in a perfect society?
