What happens when a tragical event literally takes away your ability to smile? Kia Sanders' life has been shattered by the sudden death of her parents. And after being left alone and in charge of her two little siblings and her grandfather with Alzheimer, she is now basically "Dead in life". She has lost all ability to feel or express happiness including her ability to smile. She is now only focus in four things: her siblings, her grandfather, her career and her part-time job. After noticing this, her University has requested her to assist to a weekly meeting with one of the campus counselors. But will this new counselor do more than just prevent her to collapse and break apart? Will he be able to not only help her get through this horrible part of her life but also return her to the happy and full of life woman she used to be? All of this without getting his feelings involved too much?
