School during lockdown , after the initial excitement wavers off, is very boring. Magie is tired of being a girl who always follows the rules , she wants to do something different , be someone else and for once wants to break a rule or not play attention in the class. Now that everyone is guarded by the screen and its limitations on the learning, one day of rule breaking doesn't sound so risky , right?
And that too when you are behind the screen. Or wait is it?

"Who do you think you are? You are just some nerd." He sneered at me, looking down at me like he already owned this place. People fear me, no one dares to bully me, even the cheerleaders and our school's star quarterback bow down to me. Oh you think I'm the 'bad girl'? Sorry, but I'm the nerd who rules the school. He walks up to me, the girl standing behind him. "Hello Jordan," Gillespie says. He points to the girl. "This little lady here is a new student. I'm gonna have her work with you today, show her the ropes. Behave yourselves." Before I get a chance to protest, Gillespie walks off to check on other people's progress. The girl just stands there, looking at me quizzically. "Um," I say. "Do you have a name?" "Yes," she says, and I'm struck by her accent. I think it's French. "My name is Nicole, Nicole Lavoie." "Interesting. Say, is that a French accent I hear? Are you from Quebec or something?" "Yes, I am, she says. "Montreal, to be exact." "Really? I've always wanted to go there!" "That's awesome. Uh, your name is Jordan, right?" "Yes, yes it is." *** Jordan Devlin is a hockey player, and a good one at that. Although hockey has always been his passion, there is one thing that he hasn't been able to figure out: love. When he suddenly meets a girl he finds incredibly attractive, he is unsure of what to do. What will Jordan do about this girl, now that he finds his life turned upside down? *** "Tell me a bit about yourself. You're the first person here that I've talked to since coming here." "Alright," I say, unsure of what to say next. "I spend a lot of my time playing hockey. That's where I strive to be professionally." "You're a hockey player, huh? Nicole asks excitedly. "What position?" "Centre." "Cool. You do much of anything else?" I shrug. "No. Just a hockey player." "Are you any good?" "How does fifty goals in twenty games sound to you?" Her eyes widen. "That's near impossible, isn't it?" "Apparently not." "That's impressive. Now, let's get to work. The teacher is staring at us." I nod, and we get to work. The whole time, I cannot help but smile stupidly, because Nicole took such an interest in me, and who I am. She seems so full of life, and not one to let it bring her down. Ever heard of those schools back then filled with strict teachers and perfect students ? Yeah, well they still exist. Let me introduce you to Redberry Academy for girls . "Is it still a no?" He asked, his voice was deep yet soft at the same time. "Hard and cold." "Oh, come on, Lou! Live a little. I can be your tour guide and show you around town. It'll be fun!" "And why not after school or in the weekend?" "Because there's no thrill to it. Please, Louisa." He asked again. I sighed. "What's in it for me, Liam?" He chuckled. "You get to spend time with me! Liam Gilbert, your tour guide, the guy you come to when you don't want to study!" "Let's make a deal," I smirked, "if I ditch with you then you have to study with me." He looked unsure and I knew he didn't want to. I shrugged. "Okay, I'll see you at home." He moaned. "Fine, but you have to ditch me right now." My face lit up like a Christmas tree and I was truly surprised. "Okay, let's go." * There are a few rules when it comes to ditching class. Rule number one: Don't tell anyone. The teachers, your siblings, your parents. Rule number two: If anybody asks where you were, always say you were sick and rule number three is to have fun. Louisa Shepard didn't know what she was getting into when she agreed to ditch school with Liam Gilbert, her host brother. She had the perfect attendance record, she studied in her spare time and she never missed a class a day in her life. Until she went to America in exchange and met Liam, the guy she could not get away from. Liam did not care about school. He ditched most days, slept in, never studied for anything and his attendance record wasn't exactly great. When Liam finds out that Louisa, the British good girl, was the perfect student, he wanted to have some fun. But, there comes a price.
