In an apocalyptic world of the year 3045, a disease has spread caused by the venom of a toxic roach called the Ruby Roach. The disease causes insanity, a lust for blood, and a hunger that can only be described as catastrophic. Nineteen year old Ember lives on his own after his father killed his mother after he was morbidly subdued to the virus. After being kicked out of the army as he was at risk of being infected with the virus, he now struggles in his world of chaos. He is against any sympathy towards those with the deadly disease. But when he meets an infected guy that goes by name Grey, he has no choice but to second guess.
