Tainted Love - JJ Maybank

Marleigh is a 19 year old with a troubled past has no other choice but to endure the abuse her boyfriend Barry gives to her. Although many other people on the island are witnesses to the abuse no one dares to step up, that is until JJ Maybank comes along.
JJ is a 20 year old who has been around abuse his entire life so when he finds out Marleigh's situation he can't help but step up and help her. Despite his friends telling him to stay out of it JJ helps Marleigh escape Barry's ways and falls in love along the way.

This book does not follow the Outer Banks plot.
