My job as a doctor is to help my patient. Sometimes that means prescribing medication, recommending surgeries, or the worst part-letting them know how much longer they have. It never really affected me, seeing dying people and distraught family members. I've been a cardiologist for almost ten years. Seeing death at Grand View Medical Center was part of life, until I saw my husband in the ER, fighting for his life.
