The Voices of Rust

Helen has had depression since she was 10 years old. She is bullied for being herself. Helen is taunted, spit upon, for being a lesbian in her conservative town. She just wants to be worth something.

Paris is the voice in her head. She tells Helen everything that is wrong with her, what she can't do, the things she has done. Paris won't let Helen be free. She keeps Helen kidnapped.

Paris has started a war in Helen. All her thoughts and emotions are bubbling to the surface and Helen wants out. Troy becomes her friend. He helps her deal with everything she's feeling. He let's Helen feel numb.

But then Troy turns on her. His voice of rust is a war inside of Helen. She can't escape. She doesn't want to escape.

One day, Cassie attracts Helen's eye. Cassie helps Helen see the goodness inside herself.

But ultimately she must stop Paris. She must defeat Troy. Helen has to free herself from her own prison.
