As a young child, Jordan E. Montgomery grew up in a physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive home. Fueled by alcohol, Jordan's father, Jeffrey, outbursts could be triggered by a bad day at work, a mound of unpaid bills, and occasional crack snorting. She assumed her mother, Stacey, was oblivious to his actions, yet feared telling her what was going on. It was only until Jordan got a bit older to that she understood that her mother was aware and lived with the same abuse, fear, and dread that she had. Her father had her mother hospitalized a few times along with the constant threats to kill them and burn the house down. In fact, the entire Montgomery household, with the exception of her infant sister, Jade, lived with a black cloud of doom hanging over their heads. The cloud never lifted until her father's untimely death, due to being shot during the robbery of a liquor store, when she was 14. Shortly after, Stacey grew depressed and she mourned for months over her late husband's death. She became emotionally and physically abusive towards Jordan. By picking up the habits of being under the influence of alcohol, heroin, and anti-depressant pills, she had lost her job as nursing assistant. One morning, Jordan woke to no sign of her mother. Two weeks has gone by and her mother still hasn't returned home. Stacey neglected her daughters for a month without food, support, and proper parental care for a violent drug dealer and pimp named Bands; leaving Jordan to provide for both herself and Jade. Having a abnormal childhood, Jordan was forced to grow up fast. Home is the last place Jordan wants to be. Will she make a choice or will a choice make her?All Rights Reserved
