It's not your classic love story; in fact I wouldn't even call it a love story at all. Seventeen year old, Aurora Loveless, is trapped in the webs of coo-dependency along with Ace Johnson. They thrashed and struggled due to different trauma's that affected them in different ways but ultimately drew them together to make a mess of emotions.

Ace needed to feel power over women to escape the feeling of being trapped underneath one again and Aurora needed a stronger male figure to replace the one that wasn't there. They were both what each other wanted but not at all what they needed.
