Love on a White Island

Erica Whitney is a force to be reckoned with... sort of. Coming from a not-so picture-perfect family, her sick mother dictates what she does and does not do in life. She doesn't succeed enough, but her mother prevents her from pursuing her education. She doesn't provide enough, but her mother belittles her achievements and labels her a disappointment to all. After dropping out of high school at the beginning of senior year, Erica decides she wants to make a name for herself. She wants everyone to understand that no matter what, she can overtake any obstacle in her way. Even if that includes her own mother.

A few years off of 30, 28-year-old Oliver Caputo is living proof of the average American man's dream. He's handsome, wealthy, and has the ability to obtain any woman he ever so desires for his own pleasure. He's powerful, and he knows it.

Crossing paths at a coffee shop early in the morning, Erica catches Mr. Perfect's eye, and he makes it his new goal to make her fall to her knees in his honor as he had done to every other woman in his life.
